Community Activist Mrs. Mardhana Sarojini, who has been working in Project Nanhi Kali for 4 years, is the resident of Thummanuvalasa village in Ananthagiri Mandal in Vishakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.
She has been serving as CA for the empowerment of Nanhi Kalis and community. She is very active and dedicated towards implementing Co-operative Reflective Learning methodology at the Academic Support Centres. She also helps in creating Teaching and Learning Material with other Community Activists and class room beautification with Nanhi Kalis.
Community participation is the key to success for Project Nanhi Kali and Sarojini is a tireless community mobiliser. Ms Sarojini collected a contribution of Rs. 2,500/- from the community in Jan, 2015. She inspired the community, which pledged its support for the betterment of Nanhi Kalis and school through this contribution.
The money was utilised to purchase mats and food plates for Nanhi Kalis and other children in the school. On Republic Day, we distributed these items to Nanhi Kalis in the school. During the celebrations, the community was also invited and the donated items were distributed in the presence of community leaders.
