Mary Kom Ignites the Fighting Spirit in Nanhi Kalis

Project Nanhi Kali and F.A.S.T Rani proudly hosted an inspiring event with the legendary boxer Mary Kom, who met with our young scholars, the Nanhi Kalis on Saturday, 19th October 2024 in Mumbai. The event provided a platform for these bright girls to engage with Mary Kom and hear her powerful message on breaking barriers and pursuing careers in sports.

The six-time world boxing champion captivated the audience with her journey, sharing personal anecdotes about overcoming societal pressures and gender expectations to reach the pinnacle of success. Addressing the girls, Mary Kom encouraged them to work hard, stay dedicated, and pursue their dreams fearlessly. She emphasised that girls have limitless potential and can excel in any field, including sports, with the right mindset and determination.

The Nanhi Kalis also had a special opportunity to interact with Mary Kom, asking questions and receiving one-on-one mentoring from the boxing icon. The sessions inspired the girls to believe in their abilities and showed that despite challenges, they could achieve great heights.

F.A.S.T Rani’s support was instrumental in making this event a reality, reinforcing the belief that empowering girls through education and mentorship is key to building a brighter future!
