HPCL organised a Felicitation Ceremony for the academically top performing Nanhi Kalis of Mumbai on the 6th of November 2017. Around 200 Nanhi Kalis participated in the function along with 150 parents. The Chief Guest was Mr. D.K. Sharma, the General Manager, HPCL who was accompanied by Mr. Sumit Kumar, HPCL officer. The 25 members of the Project Nanhi Kali team were also a part of the ceremony.
The programme started with the lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest and the government officials. A Nanhi Kali welcomed the guests by singing a welcome song and prayer. The guests were awestruck by several cultural activities that included group and solo dances, a skit and motivational speeches presented by our Nanhi Kalis. Even our enthusiastic Community Associates participated in the cultural activities. The Chief Guest, parents and Nanhi Kalis gave motivational speeches and shared their experiences with the participants. Post the performances, the Nanhi Kalis were felicitated by HPCL officials based on the best performance in attendance, learning, participation in extracurricular activities and participation in the programme. Gifts, mementoes, medals and certificates were given to the best performers. In order to keep them motivated, the best supportive parents and teachers were also felicitated at the ceremony.
