The Mahindra Pride School (MPS) is an initiative of the Mahindra Group for affirmative action for the socially and economically disadvantaged sections of society. The programme is completely supported by the Mahindra Group through the K C Mahindra Education Trust and is implemented by Naandi Foundation.

At the MPS a total of 136 under privileged youth (69 girls and 67 boys) underwent an enriching and engaging 3 month experience of learning and self evolution.

The intensive training was directed towards specialization in three faculty i.e. Hospitality , Sales and ITES , with English, Lifeskills and computer applications being the common courses for all.

In the course of this training 11 students, with continuous counseling by the trainers, decided to pursue basic education prior to enrolling for such a job oriented course. This move was encouraged by the trainers, leaving the doors of MPS always open for them.

The highlight of the three month intensive training was the successful placement of 126 out of 136 students (approximately 93%) in various industries around Pune at a starting salary scale ranging from 42,000 to 70,000 per annum.

The main campus recruiters included Aviva Life Insurance, Jai Hind Retail, Silver Jubilee Motors, Inn Venue Hospitality Pvt. Ltd, Macdonalds, Season’s Retail to name a few.

The sector wise placement break up for the 126 students successfully placed is as follows

• Insurance - 16%
• BPOs / IT - 10%
• Retail / Auto Dealership - 31%
• Hospitality / Food - 24%
• Others - 4%

The 3 month training culminated with a convocation ceremony attended by all students, parents and faculty where each student was handed over a pass certificate, and further motivated to excel in the professionally chosen fields.

The 2nd batch of 163 students is currently undergoing training at the Mahindra Pride School. The success of the first batch has further motivated the MPS team to strive for a 100% placement goal in subsequent batches.
