Mogasala Aruna (Nanhi Kali Id - APV05/0535) is presently studying in 10th class at GHS Dumbriguda. She is the youngest daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Naraya. The family (3 daughters and parents) survive on the income earned by the parent's. Aruna's father is an alcoholic and he wastes all his earnings on alcohol. Hence, the whole family depends on meager income of her mother. Arunas father was not ready to provide financial support towards her education. As a result Arunas elder sisters discontinued their studies after the 5th class. Fortunately Aruna managed to continue her education as her mother didnt want to stop her education. She wished to see a day when Aruna will have a respectable job.
During the home visits Aruna's mother expressed her happiness about the Nanhi kali Sponsorship programme. She recalled a heart moving incident. In her words "When my daughter was studying in 9th class, one day she came running during her examination time and asked me for 5 rupees to buy a pen. I was shocked to learn that she came out of the examination hall as ink was exhausted in the only ballpoint pen she possessed. In that situation I was so scared that she came out from mid of the examination and unfortunately I didn't have a single paisa to give her to buy a pen. But now, my daughter is covered under the Nanhi Kali sponsorship program and she is being helped exactly at the time when she is in need, as she is studying in 10th class.
