Mahindra All India Talent Scholarship-
This scholarship has been set up to specifically empower students from the under-privileged and disadvantaged sections of society. It is given to students belonging to lower income group families who wish to pursue a job oriented diploma course at a recognized Government Polytechnic. To be eligible for this scholarship, the students should have passed 10th / 12th Standard or equivalent examinations and have secured admission in government or any other recognized Polytechnic Institute for Diploma Courses in India. Majority of the awardees are girl students, as the Trust is keen in supporting girls and encouraging them to be qualified and subsequently reduce their vulnerability to exploitation and improve their standard of living. In 2005, the Mahindra Group decided to double the number of scholarships given to 600 every year. Through this scholarship each individual gets awarded Rs. 5000 per annum for a maximum period of three years.

The K. C. Mahindra Education Trust has also established several awards and scholarships for the academia. To build trust and further encourage teachers the Trust has set up the following:
  • The K. C. Mahindra Chair for Nuclear Chemistry at the Institute of Science in Mumbai and The Dhandevi Mahindra Scholarship Award at Sophia College, Mumbai.
  • The Kema Grants established in 1997 provides financial grants and scholarships to faculty members and staff of educational institutions.

In support of the Government mandate for affirmative action, the Mahindra group has set up the Mahindra Pride Schools to empower youth from socially disadvantaged sections of society by providing livelihood training, to enable them to gain employment based on their skills.

The first Mahindra Pride School located at Pune, commenced operations in 2007. The school is meant exclusively for youth (18-25 years) from socially disadvantaged sections i.e. Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Caste (OBC), Notified Tribes (NT) and De-notified Tribes (DNT) and offers equal opportunity for men and women, with a focus on rural youth. It is non-residential and offers various alternative livelihood options to the students free of cost. 'Road Shows' are conducted over a month long period in pre-identified communities / hamlets with a high SC/ST/OBC/NT/DNT population to spread information about MPS and encourage the youth to enroll for the training offered by the school. Students are then assigned courses depending on their personality, aptitude, and interest which are judged through intensive written tests and personal interaction at the time of admission itself.

Since inception, 2400 students from socially disadvantaged sections of society have been provided livelihood training in one of the three sectors of Hospitality, Information Technology Enabled Services (ITES - for BPOs & KPOs) and Retail. The training has resulted in Mahindra Pride School students being recruited by renowned food chains such as McDonald's, Pizza Hut and Café Coffee Day, and 5 star Hotels such as Hotel Le Meridien in the Hospitality Sector, department stores such as Westside in the Retail space, and BPOs and KPOs such as Bajaj Allianz, Syntel and Mphasis in the IT Sector. The highlight of the placement process has been 100% placement of students in lucrative jobs and a consistent increase in average salary per batch from Rs. 4500 in Batch 1 to Rs. 9250 in Batch 14, which is the most recent batch.

The 2nd Mahindra Pride School is located in Chennai where 140 students have graduated from the 1st batch in April 2011. Plans are underfoot foe the 3rd Mahindra Pride School in Patna / Chandigarh.
