Rs. 1800 per annum for a Nanhi Kali (Std. 1 to std.7)
Rs. 2500 per annum for a Nanhi Kali (Std. 8 to Std 10). However, if you are paying online, through credit card or net banking, the amount will increase by Rs. 110/- per girl child, to cover the  transaction cost.

The money that you donate is utilized in the following ways:
60% is sponsored for material support including stationery, books, hygiene material, uniforms, shoes, under clothing, etc. 30% is  academic support within the school premises through child centric methodology and programs for the community and parents toward gender sensitization. Whereas 10% is sponsored for Donor correspondence like profiles and progress reports.

Donations can also be made through the Online Credit Card Facility and the Online Net banking Facility offered on this site.

You can decide to sponsor the education of as many Nanhi Kalis as you wish. You may sponsor them for a number of years instead of just one year. So you can sponsor one Nanhi Kali for 3 years at a time or sponsor 5 Nanhi Kalis for one year and renew the sponsorship each year. The choice is yours.

As a sponsor you will receive the following:

• A post card size photograph of your Nanhi Kali.
• A profile form, which gives you details of  her family and her living environment.
• Two progress reports every year, informing you how well your Nanhi Kali is doing  in school
• Correspondence in the form of cards and drawings from your Nanhi Kali

You may visit the project where your Nanhi Kali is being educated. KCMET officials will help you detail your visit. However, no sponsor will be allowed to have a one to one interaction with the child, instead we encourage you to interact with all the children in a group.

Let your Nanhi Kali know, that you remember her by sending her letters and Birthday cards. Post these to the following address and rest assured she will receive them.

Yes, during your sponsorship period you will be the only person sponsoring your Nanhi Kali. After the end of the period, you may choose to renew the sponsorship, by sending us the renewal amount. However, if the sponsorship amount does not reach us within 2 months of the due date another mentor will be found for your Nanhi Kali. If you contact us after those 2 months and want to continue supporting the program we will assign you a new Nanhi Kali.

Yes, all contributions are exempt under Section 80 G  of the Income Tax Act.

Yes, we do send you a copy of the tax exemption certificate along with your receipt once you make your donation.

We do not give the choice of area/region/caste/creed etc for selection of Nanhi Kalis, since our aim is to reach out to every underprivileged girl child in India irrespective of these criteria. We have a list of children who are waiting to be sponsored under the Nanhi Kali programme, so we urge  our donors to donate for the education of girl children irrespective of these conditions.

Further the six month progress reports of your Nanhi Kali which are mailed to you will highlight the factors possibly affecting the performance of your Nanhi Kali as identified by the teacher and the implementing NGO in charge of your  Nanhi Kali.

The girls are selected on the following criteria-

• Girl children that are enrolled in government schools
• Girls belonging to the poorest sections of society (Annual family income lesser than Rs. 15000)
• Girls having illiterate parents
• Girls belonging to SC/ST or migrating communities
• The eldest girl in the family and girls with many siblings
• Girls from communities where social stereotyping is prevalent (female infanticide, early marriage etc.)
• Girls from female headed households.
